~ Vicki Baum Core Connexion on the Open Floor is a lively movement meditation practice with an emphasis on embodied presence, self awareness and creative expression.
There are no steps to follow and no wrong moves. Images, music and themes are offered for everyone to explore at their own pace. A great variety of music and rhythms will inspire slow and internal dances as well as wild and exuberant ones. Gentle and clear guidance help you anchor your awareness in the body and uncover its wisdom. Core Connexion and Open Floor are two well established conscious dance practices that complement each other beautifully. They are designed to build muscular and emotional intelligence, mindfulness and soulfulness. The intention is to enhance our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being. The dance floor is a microcosm of real life and helps us recognize patterns and behaviours. In a safe and non-judgmental space we explore what it means to be human in a constantly changing relationship with ourselves, with others and with the environment. When we move together, we grow communities that care for each other on and off the dance floor. Recent scientific studies have shown that dancing makes people feel better and happier. It activates the healing properties of the body. "Core Connexion on the Open Floor" is a fun cardiovascular work-out as well as mindfulness training. It fosters creativity, encourages playfulness and enhances the ability to react sensitively to others. As an added benefit it increases flexibility and fitness as well as self-confidence and self-knowledge. Every body is welcome and no experience is required.
